Dr. Banafsheh Kashani, MD, FACOG, co-founder, is a double board-certified specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Since 2014, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals and couples overcome fertility challenges, offering state-of-the-art reproductive care in Orange County, where she grew up. As the founder of her private practice in Aliso Viejo, Dr. Kashani is committed to delivering highly personalized fertility treatments in a supportive and compassionate environment.

Dr. Kashani graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Irvine, before earning her medical degree from the University of South Alabama, College of Medicine, where she ranked at the top of her class. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California (USC), where she gained extensive experience in all aspects of women’s health, with a strong focus on reproductive endocrinology. Her passion for fertility treatment led her to pursue a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School.

There are good doctors, great doctors, and then there is Dr. Kashani — a truly exceptional, one-of-a-kind IVF specialist who redefines what it means to care for her patients. From the very first consultation to the final steps, she goes above and beyond in every possible way.

What sets Dr. Kashani apart isn’t just her deep medical expertise (though she is undoubtedly THE most skilled and detail-oriented doctor I’ve ever encountered), it’s her genuine compassion and dedication to each and every patient. She doesn't just say she cares — she shows it in every interaction. To her, you are not just another number in her clinic. I don't usually write reviews but Dr. Kashani and her staff deserve all the praise. My husband and I went to a few consultations with other Dr.'s but when we went to our consultation with Dr. Kashani we knew this was the place for us! She is kind, knows her stuff and her staff is great. They've been excellent communicators, test results are never a mystery, I've received check in calls after procedures... I even called after hours on multiple occasions and received a call back within minutes to resolve my issue! Dr. Kashani is just as invested in your pregnancy outcome as you are, she truly cares and wants what's best for you! Wait times for my appointments have always been quick, and I've never felt rushed asking questions or during any of my procedures. We had horrible luck with Dr's along our fertility journey before we got here so having a Dr. this wonderful and a phone number that you can call to talk to a knowledgeable human is such a breath of fresh air! We did one transfer in 2023 that brought us our son and another transfer in 2024 (currently pregnant with our daughter). I know a lot of people's experiences with fertility clinics are dependent on how well it "worked" for them but I think even if IVF hadn't worked for us, I wouldn't have a bad thing to say. Seriously, if I could take Dr. Kashani, Vivian and Karen and make them my Dr. for everything I absolutely would. I would recommend Dr. Kashani a thousand times over (and have to multiple friends and family!).

Dr. Kashani changed my life. Around three years into a very confusing infertility journey that an OBGYN had been "treating" with very strong hormonal medications (which only made my condition worse), I found Dr. Kashani. She immediately knew to get me off of those medications and work with me to get my body to react to real reproductive endocrinology methods that WORK. Dr. Kashani knew that I wanted to avoid having to have IUI or go down the IVF route, and so she structured medicated, timed intercourse cycles for me. When my body didn't react properly to certain medications, she knew exactly what to swap to, and so in 2024, for the first time since 2017, I could mature follicles and ovulate with assistance. Medicated timed intercourse isn't easy and my journey was anything but linear, still Dr. Kashani's warmth, expertise, and energy, as well as her staff's professional, attentive, and caring attitude made the whole process much better. We were able to have SO much success with my most recent TI cycle that my husband and I actually conceived twins –– a risk we knew we were taking but are over the moon with, since we were scared for several years that we could never conceive. Please, if you are struggling to conceive and are stressed out by the unknown, come see Dr. Kashani because she is a top-notch fertility professional. I cannot thank Dr. Kashani and her staff enough for their life-changing care!

Dr. Kashani and her staff are absolutely incredible. We drove an hour and a half each way to see her, and it was 100% worth it. We now have a beautiful baby girl!

Our first IVF doctor gave up on us - he couldn't figure out what was wrong after we had a miscarriage and then three consecutive failed transfers. He ran all the usual tests and biopsies and everything came back normal.

I spoke to several of Dr. Kashani’s patients before setting up the consultation meeting, and she came highly recommended. After consultation meetings with several doctors, we decided to work with Dr. Kashani, even though she was extremely far away from where we lived. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.

After going through what felt like a “factory” clinic where I was just a number in the waiting room, I was blown away by the personal care, concern, and empathy that we received from everyone at Dr. Kashani’s office. Dr. Kashani was incredibly thorough and always took the time to answer questions and talk through options without making me feel rushed (or, worse, like a bystander in my own journey). She went above and beyond the normal range of tests and protocols to give us the best chance possible.

Everyone in the office is beyond amazing. I always received prompt responses from Vivian at the front desk, and Karen always took extra care when drawing my blood because she knew I wasn’t great with needles. The embryologist went above and beyond to ensure we had the best quality embryos possible. Everyone was kind and personable.

We were starting to lose hope that we’d ever be able to conceive on our own. We can’t thank Dr. Kashani and her staff enough for our miracle baby. I recommend her 1000%.

Dr. Kashani is beyond amazing. She provides very thorough and detailed care. She is very knowledgeable, empathetic and genuinely cares about her patients. She truly cared for me during the hardest time of my life, shared my pain with me but at the same time kept very optimistic, picked me up and supported me until we reached our goal. She was my true advocate. I am holding my two weeks old baby in my arms because of her.
Her office and staff are also very organized and kind. They were really prompt in answering emails, calls and getting back to me with answers, no matter how many times a day I contacted the office. Vivian and Karen are the best, thank you for being there for me when I needed it the most.

I can’t recommend doctor Kashani enough. I get introduced to her because my friend is a doctor at Kaiser and he recommends her to me.

I used to have all failed attempts at IVF in another country, which makes me believe I can’t be pregnant myself and have to find a surrogate. Doctor Kashani talks me out of it and assure me that I will have a different experience with her. She wants me to have the experiences of carrying my own child.

I am so glad I listen to her. To my astonishment and happiness, I am successful with her with my 1st attempt. She’s very thorough, and makes sure everything is prepared to the best possible before the embryo transfer. I am currently at 20 weeks and can’t wait for another 20 weeks to pass by quickly so I can see my baby soon. I feel fortunate that I have the chances to meet doctor Kashani and her wonderful team (Vivian, Karen…).

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Kashani after being referred to her by a friend, and I cannot recommend her enough. Prior to coming to her office, I had treatments at two other infertility clinics, and the experience was nothing like what I found here. Working with Dr. Kashani was an absolute breath of fresh air and made it all so much less stressful.

Dr. Kashani was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely caring. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered every question with patience, and made sure I felt heard and understood.

Dr K was probably the most important person in our life the tear before I got pregnant. We had a hard journey prior to finding Dr K, and had a difficult case of what looked like unexplained infertility. At previous clinic, we only made 3 embryos (I was 31 at time with no issues), 1 was a fresh transfer that resulted in a miscarriage, 1 was generically abnormal, and 1 was low quality that later didnt stick. With Dr K, we had to cancel one cycle, which was hard, but we trusted her fully, and she said she knew she could get better results the father away I was from my depot lupron shots from previous cycle (she thought correctly that I was too suppressed). We ended up waiting a few months, and thank God we did, because I was one year older than last retrieval, but made SEVEN high quality genetically normal embryos. She adjusted my protocol significantly and we did alice, emma, and receptiva testing- we also did estrace priming and she was open to my idea of adding HGH for egg retieval. It felt like she studied my case to make a truly customized approach. We ended up having one transfer with Dr K not work, and were all confused, but after this, she noticed an ovarian cyst of mine grew, and she suspected I might have endomtriosis, and made the hard suggestion to have laparoscopic surgery. Dr K never lead us is the wrong direction- she made hard calls at times to get us our baby. After this, we had a successful transfer and had a healthy baby boy last year! Throughout the journey with her, she was kind, compassionate, and honest, and open to any ideas we had. It was collaborative and comfortable every step of the way, even during the hard parts. She treats you like a best friend and has your back.
